The Peter Jensen Resort 2015 Collection pays homage to Yoko Ono, in the ’60s and in the ’70s.
Some Yoko Ono’s collaborations : Charles Anastase Spring/Summer 2010 (Yoko Ono’s 1970 « John’s something more abstract » quote was one of the references of this show), English Laundry (in 2009, Yoko Ono was involved in the designs of this menswear line, which was influenced by John Lennon’s artwork and image), H&M (Yoko Ono was one of the celebrities who created a T-shirt, with the slogan « Imagine Peace », to support Designers Against Aids for Fashion Against Aids !
, available from May 28, 2009), Opening Ceremony (in November 2012, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim for Opening Ceremony produced a collection that was based on the sketches, titled « Fashions for Men », that Yoko Ono had drawn as a wedding present for John Lennon, and, in 2013, Yoko Ono created for Opening Ceremony the animated video « Makeup Tips for Men »), threeASFOUR Spring/Summer 2010 (Yoko Ono’s drawings were adapted for prints, and the soundtrack of this show, titled « Iconoclastic », which recreated her art performance « Cut Piece », was Plastic Ono Band’s album « Between My Head and the Sky »), Visionaire (the N° 63 « Forever » issue, published in 2013, featured an artwork by Yoko Ono, which was printed on a T-shirt, in collaboration with Gap, available at the 2014 Frieze Art Fair), Y3 by Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 2011 (Yoko Ono’s texts, such as « Open Your Eyes, Open Your Door …», were printed on T-shirts).Moreover, in 2002, Yoko Ono launched a collection of jewelry designs, which featured John Lennon’s artworks and etchings.
