« The Raven », by Edgar Allan Poe, has deeply influenced the DIDU Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 Collection, entitled « Nevermore » (in this poem, the raven repeats the word « Nevermore » several times).
Mark Rothko’s iconic works were also referenced.
Furthermore, Edgar Allan Poe’s poem has probably inspired Mylène Farmer’s 2023-2024 stadium tour, titled « Nevermore », which features several crows, and costumes which are designed by Olivier Theyskens.
Moreover, the Belgian fashion designer paid homage to Mylène Farmer (in her 1987-1992 era) in his Spring/Summer 2021 Collection, « L’Horloge » (« The Clock », which was Mylène Farmer’s rendition of Charles Baudelaire’s poem on her 1988 album named « Ainsi soit je … »).To read about other Edgar Allan Poe-influenced collections, search for the « Edgar Allan Poe » post that I have published on April 12, 2013, and the « The Masque of the Red Death » post that I have published on July 6, 2014.
