The starting point of the Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry Couture Spring/Summer 2026 Show, called « Agony and Ecstasy » (« L’Agonie et l’extase »), which featured a « spiral lace butterfly », was Michelangelo’s « The Last Judgment » (« Il Giudizio Universale »), painted between 1536 and 1541, on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, in Rome.
